The Art of Vulnerability iii 20% OF SALE PROCEEDS DONATED TO WIRES/AUSTRALIAN FIRES
Based on a dear Boobook Owl I rescued and had the honour of having it in my cabin for a short time.
I love the tribal feel this piece has with the tones and markings.
Since the time that this artwork was painted, horrendous fires have been raging throughout Australia. Nearly 500 million native animals have perished. WIRES are an organisation that rescues and rehabilitates injured wildlife. I have called on them many times over the years to seek advice on creatures and birds I have found that require help. They do such amazing work and now, it feels more than ever, they desperately need financial help to cope. I am donating 20% of the proceeds from each sale of my native australian artworks to WIRES.
Painted in acrylic on fine art paper; 52cm x 72cm. These paper pieces look stunning in a contemporary style frame with a mat border. I suggest either natural wood, white or black for the frame.
